This is a permanent full-time position, offering an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment. The successful candidate will have the primary responsibility of maintaining, repairing, and improving the functionality of our sophisticated machinery and equipment. This role is critical to our operations and requires a committed individual who can ensure the smooth running of our production lines. Responsibilities:As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be expected to:1. Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate.2. Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.3. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.4. Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.5. Perform regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunction.6. Maintain and repair specialized equipment and machinery found in kitchens, laundries, hospitals, stores, offices, and factories.7. Troubleshoot and repair issues with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.8. Understand and apply knowledge of PLC controls and their use in automation.9. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.10. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.Qualifications:The ideal candidate for the Maintenance Mechanic role should have:1. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.2. Proven experience with electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge.3. Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, electrical meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.4. Exceptional skills in preventive maintenance and repairing.5. Solid experience in machinery maintenance.6. Excellent problem-solving skills.7. A strong understanding of PLC.8. Ability to work independently and manage one's time.9. Ability to handle the physical workload, including lifting heavy items and working in varying temperatures.10. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.11.
