Controller for HotelAbout the firm:Our client is a luxury boutique hotel chain in the Soho area and they are looking for their next Controller to join their teamThis hotel is 4.5 star rating and in addition to rooms has a great restaurant on site as well as event space. This hotel is frequented by celebrities, top A listers and other elite clienteleThis role will be reporting directly to the Director of Finance and working closely with upper management as well.This is an opportunity to get into the hospitality industry in NYC if you already don’t have that experience.This role is onsite full time and will be working with the Food and Beverage team as well.Competitive salary with amazing benefits and perks!Responsibilities of the Controller will include: Oversee operations of day to day accounting, including designing an organizational structure to achieve department goals; will oversee hotel operationsOversee AP/AR departments to ensure timely payments and collections as well as the payroll departmentMonth/year end close, working on annual audits; financial statementsCost Accounting, reconciling the books, managing chart of accounts, financial reportingCreating annual budgets; oversee forecasting for future planningQualifications of the ControllerBachelors Degree; open to major but ideally in Accounting or FinanceExposure to accounting systems with strong ExcelAt least 4 years of relevant accounting experience; hospitality/restaurant/food is a plusExperience with inventory in any industry is a plusMaxSalary: USD125000MinSalary: USD100000
