Overview
The Transportation Manager is a key transportation leader position reporting to the director of Transportation. Requires strong communication skills as well as knowledge of next day delivery operations. This role is responsible for building the culture of delivery standards and customer satisfaction metrics in the trade with off premise and on-premise accounts by ensuring drivers execute procedures according to company standards.
Essential work duties include recruiting and training staff, responding to customer issues, optimizing the efficiency of routes, adhering to safety and compliance policies, and fostering a positive working environment. Must be familiar with routing software and DOT regulations.

Qualifications
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Accounting, Business or Logistics Management)
- 3-5 years of direct supervisor level experience within a distribution environment
- 5+ years transportation experience
- 3-5 years of Supervision experience
- Lean or Six Sigma Certification preferred
- Roadnet experience preferred
- Functional system understanding Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point
- Ability to work non-traditional business hours including evenings, nights and weekends when required
- 20% In-state travel requirement
- Strong Communication skills – verbal, presentation, writing
