Job Description
The Regional Transportation Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a 200 Power Unit, 2200 Trailer operation for a short-haul, dedicated truckload division with 30 direct reports leading a team of over 200 transportation professionals, operating from 19 terminals with a geographic area being New Jersey, lower New York, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Manages business to meet or surpass all budgets and business plans, supporting P&L.
Also responsible for KPIs and for design, implementation, and compliance of process improvements. The position in the company is to grow and follow-up to assure goals and objectives are being achieved. Challenge to increase revenues and minimize costs while maximizing utilization. 75% travel expectation.
Required Background:
- Transportation Operations Management (10 years)
- Fleet size of 200 Power Units
- Fleet management, customer service, load planning & extended coverage
- Established standard operating procedures & metrics (KPIs)
- Driver retention strategies
- Safety: CSA, DOT, OSHA, FMCSA
- Residence:
Central/South Jersey, South Eastern PA
Background Preferred (but not required):
- Union Operations Experience (i.e., Teamsters)
- Transportation software (TMW, People Net)
- P&L responsibility to a certain degree
- Identifying performance obstacles & cost reduction opportunities
- Process improvement
- Education:
College Graduate BA or BS

Compensation Structure:
- Base Salary: $130,000 to $150,000 (based on experience)
- Annual Anticipated Bonus: $10,000
