This is a full-time on-site role for a Grocery Warehouse and Distribution Manager working Sunday through Thursday, 2pm to 12:30am. The Grocery Warehouse and Distribution Manager will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the warehouse and distribution center in Carlstadt, NJ, ensuring customer service goals are met or exceeded, and managing the warehouse and distribution staff. They will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and delivery of products to support the business's objectives.

Functions:

• Effectively and safely manage the day-to-day operations in the Dairy and Grocery Departments by monitoring workflows, accuracy, and productivity of warehouse associates.
• Provide leadership for large employee populations in non-exempt positions and direct reports in exempt positions that both maximize and optimize resources in support of serving the customer.
• Work in conjunction with other departments to manage inventory control and distribution activities throughout the warehouse.
• Responsible for training and cross training employees in all functions selection, checking, loading and Hilo
• Ensures safety and all other policies are implemented and followed consistently
• Conduct accident investigation per company guidelines, and use judgment and discretion to make findings and document them
• Meet with shift supervisors to plan the day’s workload

   3 plus years of Grocery distribution experience a plus

• Excellent knowledge of warehouse and distribution center operations, including inventory management and shipping/receiving
• Ability to lead and manage a diverse team of warehouse and distribution staff
• Experience with warehouse management and inventory control systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory issues as they relate to warehousing and distribution operations
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in warehouse and distribution management with a proven track record of success
