MBA Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager of Design & Construction to support our government client, in one of the following locations: Dallas, TX; Atlanta, GA; Jersey City, NJ; Denver, CO; or Carol Stream, IL.As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and managing small design and construction projects for Facilities initiatives from inception through to delivery for the United States Postal Service's Facilities Implementation organization. In some cases, travel to remote locations may be required. This role will support initiatives from inception to completion, encompassing projects in areas such as construction management, real estate, electrical engineering, and HVAC systems.As the Project Manager, you will collaborate with multiple building vendors and oversee both technical and administrative tasks essential to delivering successful repair and alteration projects for postal facilities nationwide. You will provide expert technical advice and assistance to team leaders, contractors, and support staff, guiding them through project complexities and ensuring timely and efficient project delivery. This role also includes setting project timelines, assigning responsibilities, and continuously monitoring progress to meet organizational goals.This role begins with several weeks of on-site work at a customer location. Once performance meets client expectations, the position may transition to a hybrid schedule, with three days on-site and two days working from home. Telework requires a reliable computer and Wi-Fi. Join our team and take the next step in your career!ResponsibilitiesProvide engineering consulting services, providing technical expertise in the evaluation of problems and the development of alternatives for construction projectsParticipate in the analysis, evaluation, conduct of feasibility studies, cost estimates, and resolution of technical problems associated with the plan, design, and development of engineering systems and equipment that support construction projectsPrepare and develop justification for engineering proposals, including identification of alternatives for facilities, systems, and equipment for review of managementEvaluate technical, cost, and economic data to identify alternatives for support of mail processingParticipate in project management activities affiliated with the design, construction, testing, start-up, and operation of facilities, systems, and/or equipmentParticipate in preparing requests for proposals, including development of drawings and specifications, and, upon receipt, participate in the evaluation of bids for technical accuracy and compliance with contract requirementsAttend preconstruction and final acceptance meetings, conduct on-site inspections during the various project phases, and report on noncompliance with contract requirementsWork with architects, engineers, contractors, construction representatives, and others involved in design and construction of postal facilities Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical), or Construction Management7+ years of experience in commercial facility maintenance or a related area requiredProficiency using MS Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to travel and work flexible hours when neededMust be able to pass a pre-employment background check & drug testAbility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance Preferred QualificationsExperience in minor construction/facility alterations MBA Consulting Services, Inc.
